Job Title: General Maintenance Technician

Reports To: Director of Maintenance

Classification: Full Time/Regular

Starting Pay Range: $18.00-$20.00 DOE

The Lookout’s Maintenance Department is seeking a year-round, experienced General Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate is someone who can effectively communicate and interact with property owners, guests and other departments in order to repair and resolve maintenance related issues as they arise. Must be able to work independently or within a team while posessing a cheerful and positive attitude.

Minimum Requirements:

Must hold a valid Washington State driver's license.

Carpentry and maintenance skills.

Knowledge of general electricity and basic plumbing standards. HVAC experience a plus.

Minimum of two years maintenance experience.

Enthusiastic about delivering excellent customer service.

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Self-motivated: Remain productive and can effectively work with minimal supervision.

Comfortable with heights, will need to be able to climb 18 foot ladders,

Physical Requirements:

Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds, and carry loads up stairs and lift items overhead.

Constant walking, standing, pushing, pulling, carrying, lifting, kneeling, bending, stooping, and moving during working hours.

Essential Functions:

Perform general maintenance throughout the property, reduce costs and ensure owner and guest satisfaction & safety.

Make necessary drywall repairs as needed.

Purchase necessary materials and fuel, with your supervisor's approval, while adhering to The Lookout’s purchasing policies and procedures.

Assist in individual home inspections with accuracy.

Perform assigned tasks in a timely manner, using proper materials and tools.

Follow all safety standards and use proper personal protective equipment.

Work the late shift if scheduled.

Properly use, store and secure company tools, supplies and materials.

Answer guests' and owners’ questions, become proficient with The Lookout’s services, amenities, and Lake Chelan recreational opportunities,

Wear a clean uniform and maintain a professional, well-groomed and neat appearance.

Be a team member: Show enthusiasm and assist other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.

Be willing and able to ask for help when you need it.

Suggest improvements to managers to improve the quality of our owner and guest service.

Maintain a warm, professional attitude and demeanor at all times.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, expected work hours are based on seasonal volume, business demand, and hours of operation. Weekends and holidays are also necessary. Must be flexible and willing to adapt schedule to meet business demands.
