Seeking a team that values diverse perspectives, encourages growth, and builds a culture of trust and collaboration?The Devices finance team is looking for a motivated individual with enthusiasm to take on a high impact role as Group Finance Manager of Surface Inventory Planning finance team . The individual will lead a team of high performing talent to manage our E2E Surface inventory and related costs (Inventory Turns, Aged Inventory, Excess & Obsolete, Financing & Storage Fees, LCM, etc.). In this role you will partner closely with Surface Devices Supply Chain Planning team to aggressively manage costs, right-size inventory, and enable sales to scale, while helping drive profitability and P&L management.The successful candidate will need to be a proven self-starter with strong leadership skills and cross-group collaboration skills. They will need to have outstanding communication skills and be comfortable with ambiguity.Our team is collaborative, supportive, and fun. We thrive as a multi-disciplinary team and seek to constantly improve by bringing out the best in each team member.The Supply Chain Planning Team is responsible for, among other things, build plan and cost curve optimization of hardware products, manufacturing capacity decisions/trade-offs, new product launch execution, inventory management of hardware components and finished goods, and product lifecycle management.ResponsibilitiesSupport and lead a finance team; provide coaching, develop talent, recruit, and set priorities for all team members.

Drive the right financial discussions and decisions during Supply and Demand reviews

Create meaningful financial metrics to gauge the financial effectiveness of decisions

Measure true cost of inventory and drive optimal levels of inventory while considering Cost and Service levels

Participate in key decisions related to factory capacity, optimal inventory levels and strategic inventory “bets”

Refine tools and processes to provide better insight into inventory management and key cost drivers

Advise senior management on financial impact of various alternatives and recommend preferred course of action

Support creation of operating models and inventory assumptions used in budget, quarterly forecasts and long-range planning

QualificationsRequired/ Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in related finance, business, supply chain, economics, data science, or related field, AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial work experience.

OR Master’s Degree in business, supply chain, finance, economics, data science, or related field AND 4+ years of post-graduate.

OR equivalent experience

Preferred QualificationsStrong analytical skills and strategic thinking

Proven data and financial modeling capabilities and ability to work within Excel and Power Point

Ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple way. Executive level oral and written communication skills.

Proven leadership skills, with demonstrated results in proactively driving and delivering high value/high-impact project results through both individual and v-team efforts

Self-starter driving best-in-class decision support in ambiguous environments

Strong partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence others without direct authority and appropriately push back when required

Comfort working at multiple altitudes, from strategic/high-level projects to detailed analysis

Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines, quickly prioritize impact and the resourcefulness to deliver
