Culbert Construction, Inc. is a Heavy Civil and infrastructure General Contractor

that has been successfully contracting in the Eastern Washington region for 27

years. We are looking to fill a Heavy Civil Superintendent position, which will be

responsible for leading our public works contracts. Please refer to all requirements needed below before submitting your resume.

Overview:

Project superintendents at CCi receive premium level support from upper management and project leaders. Potential Teammate must enjoy people and be willing to train if needed. Must also possess 10 or more years' experience in civil construction with 5 or more years in a supervisory role. Must be fluent in all laws & rules pertaining to heavy civil construction, trench safety, as well as traffic control laws & codes. Must have the ability to organize 2 or more crews on multiple projects simultaneously, ability to manage all aspects of construction for $3 - $10 million-dollar sized projects. Thorough knowledge of L&I / OSHA safe practices, Company policies and standards, soil types, test reports and compaction methods. Willingness to get your hands dirty.

Experience:

Minimum ten years of grading, road & infrastructure construction.

Infrastructure upgrades installing new water, sewer, storm mains and laterals.

Experience working around existing utilities as well as some new construction.

Understanding of GPS systems and knowledge of machine control systems i.e., calibrate, set up, and trouble shoot (Topcon system experience preferred but not mandatory)

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Microsoft word, excel, outlook and project experience helpful.

Solid ability to read and interpret plans and specs.

Strong understanding of all types of heavy equipment utilized in road and utility construction.

Experienced in excavations more than 10 feet, capable of operating 3 or more pieces of equipment at optimum production and efficiency.

Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to construction safety.

Experience operating excavator, loader, grader, backhoe, dozer

Five years in employment in this capacity

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Management and scheduling of subcontractors and material deliveries

Management of lower tier Foremen, grade checkers, operators, truck drivers and laborers.

Responsible for direct reporting to project leader through written and verbale communications.

Clear, and concise written and verbal daily reporting on project performance.

Identifying, tracking, and reporting changes in work / change orders.

Willing to perform other tasks as necessary to include; takeoffs, estimating, light project management.

Salary based on experience but is guaranteed to be first tier.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $87,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year

Benefits: retirement package with up to a 3% match, dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off, retirement plan, vision insurance

Schedule: 8-hour shift

Supplemental pay types: opportunity for performance-based bonuses
