Location: Kent, WA Description: Our client is currently seeking a Hydrogen Peroxide Systems Engineer

You will work on the design, analysis, development, and qualification of hydrogen peroxide systems on a re-usable launch vehicle in the most extreme environments. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of detailed mechanical design, requirements, layouts, analysis, component selection, drafting, modeling, manufacturing, and test definition. To be successful in this position you will have proven skills designing and testing materials, components, and systems with peroxide.

This job will have the following responsibilities/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of proven experience in the design and testing of peroxide systems
  • Solid understanding of fluid components such as valves, tubing, and pressurized hardware, seals, and bearings
  • Working knowledge of physical and chemical properties and behaviors of high concentration hydrogen peroxide
  • Proven understanding of materials and treatments for us with hydrogen peroxide systems Ability to define requirements for safe design and operation of hydrogen peroxide systems Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must = or national, U.S. permanent resident (current holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Desired:
  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience in 3D CAD programs (Creo preferred)
  • Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools to analyze pressurized systems and secondary structures (ANSYS preferred)
  • Proficiency in crafting engineering drawings with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) Hands on experience building and testing complex mechanical assemblies Experience designing routed systems of metallic tubing
  • Experience with thermo-fluid solver applications
  • Thermal Desktop (Sinda Fluint), AFT (Fathom/Arrow), Excel based models, REFPROP Solid understanding of fabrication, integration processes, and quality control techniques relevant to tubes, machined components, and welded hardware
