Provides and coordinates comprehensive physical therapy care to patients through the proper utilization of evaluation, planning, education, and implementation of a treatment plan in accordance with Physical Therapy Standards of Practice. Work includes indirect patient care activities such as; documentation, scheduling, family training, attendance at rounds, interaction with the Interdisciplinary Team, participation in staff meetings, ordering supplies, and contributing to continuous quality control and performance improvement.Incumbents are also accountable for responding effectively to legal, patient rights, safety, maintenance, and emergency situations; participating in continuing education, staff development, self-directed learning and overseeing the performance of and providing performance feedback of staff, aides, students, volunteers as requested.Essential Job Duties:

Performs patient assessment/data collection, interprets findings and formulates treatment plans.

Implements and updates therapeutic plan of care and treatment based on patient needs throughout patient’s course of care.

Completes all required documentation, in an accurate and thorough manner, of Physical Therapy treatment in accordance with FHS documentation standard.

QualificationsEducation/Work Experience Requirements:Master’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program and completion of Clinical Fieldwork. Knowledge and experience in rehabilitation, orthopedic, medical/surgical settings that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities preferred.If assigned to the Outpatient Clinic - One year full-time outpatient orthopedic experience preferred within the last three years.If assigned to the Pelvic Floor Program - One year of full-time pelvic floor care experience required within the last three years. Advanced education and training in pelvic floor health issues, including knowledge and expertise in the internal assessment of pelvic floor and biofeedback treatment. Documented pelvic floor specialty continuing education/training within the past three years required including biofeedback coursework and credentialing.Licensure/Certification:

Current Washington State license for Physical Therapy or a Washington State Interim Permit (valid for a maximum 6 months unless an extension is approved by the Department Director).

Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
