Location: SeaTac, WA Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Integration Technician, New Shepard, GTAW WeldingThis position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.Responsibilities:- Welding multiple aluminum alloys using the GTAW welding process and the manufacture, assembly, and test for various spaceflight systems.
- Supporting production and development related activities that directly affect rocket launch vehicles and spacecraft
- 5+ years' experience with DC- and AC-TIG welding of aerospace stainless steels and aluminum alloys.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use precision hand tools, standard mechanical tools and fabrication shop equipment.
- Ability to develop fixtures/tooling.
- Orbital welding experience and/or knowledge.
- Familiarity with tube fabrication (bend, flare, fittings, etc.) and pressurized system safety.
- Knowledgeable in the use of 3-D CAD tools (CREO is preferred)
- ability to read and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard.
- Knowledge of drawing review, scheduling and work order systems, inventory and various issue tracking systems.
- Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware.
- Machining experience.
- TIG welding experience with Aluminum, Attitude, and ability to train
