Position Title: Jr. IT/Systems Support Technician

Travel: 30% or More (between Seattle locations and to Tacoma)

4-5 months CONTRACT TO HIRE

SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE:Implement and support on-premise and cloud infrastructures in alignment with the corporate IT strategy. IT support for end user devices, business software, e-mail, and server environments. Experience in setting up new and existing employees' desktop and laptop computers. Work with Director of IT to establish need, obtain quotes, procure, and install electronic devices, software, and communication equipment. Provide ideas and solutions to move the company forward in the electronic and communication arena.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide client support and technical issue resolutions
  • Configuration of Employees equipment to internal and external networks
  • Provide training to Employees in the use of system and applications
  • Foster general understanding of OS and application operations related to company systems
  • Identify and correct or advise on operational IT issues
  • Ensure day-to-day operation meets the defined policies and procedures
  • Administer user accounts in Active Directory and other business applications
  • Assist System Support Technicians in daily IT Operations tasks
  • Ensure corporate guidelines especially for IT security are met and implemented correctly
  • Implement corporate IT projects and support IT initiatives
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:Knowledge of Personal Computers, Servers, Networking, Shared Drives and E-mail Protocols.Experience resolving hardware and software issues. Proficient in Internet related applications such as, FTP clients and Web Browsers.

Solve practical problems. Deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: Certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-2 years of experience working in corporate IT environments.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Write reports and procedures.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and hourly employees
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
