The Footwear Sales Lead directly supports the store managers in all the department’s day-to-day activities. Their role is to optimize department sales and profitability through employee training and development. They are highly knowledgeable in Footwear products and a resource for customers and employees. The Lead Footwear Sales will model Crown Enterprises selling procedures and place customer satisfaction and employee development as the cornerstones for their department’s success.
Key Accountabilities:
Sales standards and achievement for the department
Train and counsel employees. Schedule, organize and direct assignments.
Maintain, encourage, and possess “ownership mentality” of their department.
Provide a positive working environment and handle employee issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
Resolve customer problems or complaints by determining optimal solutions.
Ensure department and corresponding back stock areas are maintained to company standards.
Encourage department employees to take ownership for their performance and career development plans; follow up on a regular basis.
Provides and ensures exceptional customer service.
Communication and support of advertising.
Assist in coordination of events.
Conduct employee and team meetings as needed.
Ensure employee awareness of safety and emergency procedures.
Maintain adequate departmental supplies.
Skills Summary:
2-5 years related sales experience in footwear or related industry experience.
Enjoy connecting with people and demonstrating an enthusiastic and positive attitude
Basic knowledge and understanding of retail math principals
Ability to lead a successful team in a fast-paced environment, while handling multiple priorities and championing the roll out of new procedures
Demonstrate knowledge of department products and services, and use this knowledge to inspire sales staff and customers to make purchases
Ability to motivate and train staff to meet or exceed sales and customer service standards.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, store staff, support teams and executive management
Ability to handle physical requirements to accomplish daily responsibilities
The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the willingness to get the job at hand done.
