Livestock Farm Hand

A large Sedro-Woolley area horse farm is seeking a reliable farm hand specifically for handling and managing livestock of 100 sheep and 100 goats. This is a fulltime role, consisting of 40+ hours a week.

Farm duties will include, but are not limited to:

Operating tractors

Feeding

Deworming

Assisting with birthing of sheep and goats

Trimming the feet of goats

Handling and sorting livestock into groups for breeding, weaning, selling, etc

Accurate record keeping of birthing records, dates animals were dewormed, etc.

Build and repair structures and fences

Hauling manure

Treating sick or injured animals when necessary

Other general farm duties may include:

Cleaning barn and stalls

Painting

General farm maintenance

Use of yard tools such as weed eaters, lawn mowers, etc.

Fixing flat tires

Assisting with making hay

Maintaining cleanliness and organization of facilities

Experience with sheep and goats preferred

Previous FFA or 4H experience preferred

This is a highly physical role and requires the ability to lift up to 50+ lbs.

The ability to communicate in English is required.

Must be at least 18 years old
