Job Title Manufacturing Quality Engineer

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Promote and verify Q&R input and controls are applied to all operations activities including manufacturing, quality controls, warehousing, distribution and service activities and that all current and future processes, tools, software and systems are designed validated and released in compliance with applicable Regulations and Standards.

You are responsible for
  • Supporting Change Management to manufacturing process or controls
  • Analysis of defects for determining dispositions of non-conformances
  • NC/QN Management Process
  • Contributing to Operations performance monitoring, reporting, improvement and development
  • Assisting with improvement programs in factory
  • Assisting Supplier Quality with investigations and may assist with Supplier Communications
  • Providing support of operations during internal and external audit/inspections.
  • Performing other duties as required.

As a result of Philips renewed commitment to Quality, it has recently restructured its organization to ensure you and your department have clear works with Philips Business Group and Market leadership, and can harness the expertise of five Centers of Excellence (COEs). These 5 COEs specialize in the following capabilities: Regulatory & Clinical Affairs, Supplier Quality, Quality Management System, Quality Assurance & Engineering, and Compliance & Audit.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a Technical, Science, or Engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years' experience in quality assurance/operations in a medical device industry.
  • Familiar with relevant global medical device regulations, requirements, and standards, such as 21 CFR Parts 803, 806, and 820, ISO13485, ISO14971, European Medical Device Directive (93/42/EEC), Canadian Medical Devices Regulation (SOR/98-282), Japanese MHLW Ordinance 169, and ISO 13485:2016.
  • Wide-ranging experience within an engineering function, such as
    • Well versed in Quality Engineering and Continuous Improvement techniques
    • Direct working relationships with suppliers
    • Participated in several NPIs from start to finish
    • Direct shop shop-floor production engineering sustaining experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties.
  • ASQ Certification as CQE or DfSS/DMAIC Green Belt/Black Belt (or other recognized Accreditation bodies) is preferred
