Material Handling Service Technician I - Forklift Mechanic

Farmers Equipment Company is a full-service agricultural, material handling and construction equipment dealer with locations in both Lynden and Burlington. We currently have an opening for a Material Handling Service Technician I to work out of our Burlington Store serving customers at their locations throughout Whatcom County.

Primary responsibilities:

Service, repair and perform preventive maintenance on material handling equipment to OEM specifications at customer locations

Represent FEC in a professional manner while serving internal and external customers

Accurately detail repairs done on Work Orders

Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment, research parts and repairs needed to successfully resolve issues leading to a positive outcome

Ability to meet Standard Repair Times for assigned work

Meet company goal for Collectable Efficiency

Requirements:

Strong mechanical aptitude and detail orientation

Minimum three years directly applicable experience preferred

Competency in computer-based troubleshooting

Ability to perform work in a safe and professional manner, both autonomously and as part of a team

Outstanding customer service skills

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Clear driving record with valid Driver’s License

Proven dependability and good housekeeping skills
