Description:Providence is calling a Materials Supply Technician (Per Diem, Variable Shift) to work in Medical Supplies at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.Apply Today! Applicants that meet qualifications will receive a text with some additional questions from our Modern Hire system.Materials Supply Technician distributes supplies and equipment to all departments of the hospital, inventories and replenishes par and exchange carts, restocks distribution center and surgery supply shelves and performs other related duties in the receiving, surgery supply and distribution center work areas as required. Additional job duties include: Handling, delivery and storage of all materials and freight received through the Southwest Washington Region (SWR) and delivery of bulk orders to user departments and outside agencies in accordance with prescribed policies and procedures including shipping functions of all materials and freight of the hospital. Maintains accurate records, manages receipts for all items delivered to and shipped from the hospital, regulates equipment management and maintains overall cleanliness and organization of the receiving, supply work areas and individual unit storage areas.In this position you will have the following responsibilities:Pick all supplies to include CS, SI and Distribution, 7 day per week, 24 hours per day. Inventories, replenishes and delivers supplies to all areas within the facility.

Responds to personal, telephone and electronic requests for supplies, equipment, and/or assistance, including delivery and retrieval. Will perform cycle counts and check expiration dates regularly. Maintain adequate levels of supplies in the supply areas. Assists with the management of inventory levels for PAR carts and supply areas. Put away stock supplies in proper warehouse locations. Follow procedures consistent with department delivery and timing needs and with data tracking requirements imposed by software. Create, update and follow a pattern of regular service to hospital departments.

Properly label and inventory all supplies. Record patient and departmental issues and credits in real time. Input data on inventories of par carts, issues/credits and generate pick tickets. Clean carts monthly, making sure they are visibly and correctly labeled, with a cart listing attached.

Labels stock items before placing in designated locations in Distribution/Warehouse; frequently checks accuracy of item locations. Rotates stock as items are shelved and periodically for slow moving items. Work with Inventory Control Technician in creating warehouse locations for new stock or relocation of current stock. Accurately pick stock from warehouse in accordance with item number, unit of measure and quantity shown on pick ticket.

Truck Deliveries (as applicable): Drive truck in a manner consistent with state laws and safety considerations. Weekly, check truck fluids and add gas; notify Coordinator of repair or service requirements. Deliver linen, pharmacy and warehouse supplies to departments and clinics located outside of the main Hospital building in accordance with a regular schedule or demand.

Qualifications:Required qualifications for this position include:Experience in materials management, i.e. warehouse, stock control, and/or computer assisted inventory.

Knowledge of medical terminology

Preferred qualifications for this position include:Completion of central service/materials management education (CS certification)

Experience in a healthcare setting

CS certification
