MFG Assembly Technician, Project Kuiper

DescriptionProject Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.One of the most ambitious missions that Kuiper has undertaken to date, the Kuiper satellite constellation, is our solution to providing reliable internet. Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations

Assemble and test with emphasis to detail, an assortment of avionic LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, handle and install fiber-optics, and PCBAs

Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated

Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems

Identify equipment requirements, process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory

You will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables

Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance

Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (Using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc)

Your work may include contributing to improving SOPs and safety procedures

Additional Requirements:

Willing to work all shifts (days, evenings, staggered shifts) overtime and weekends as needed. Estimated shift times 1st shift: 8am-4:30PM Shift will vary, depending on program needs

Flexible working/commuting in between site locations

Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position

Able to lift-up to 25lbs. unassisted

High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience

3+ years relevant high traceability manufacturing experience (Aerospace, Medical or related field)

2+ years of hands-on work experience Electrical-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration and/or Harness Integration experience

1+ years of experience in a fast-paced production environment

1+ years of hands-on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, torque drivers, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters), as well as standard hand tools

Preferred Qualifications

Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) and/or Avionics certification/license

ASE certification and/or equivalent experience

CFOT certification and/or equivalent experience

1+ years reading, interpreting and working from engineering documentation and/ or drawings

Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment

Prior military service a plus

The base pay for this position ranges from $76,960/year in our lowest geographic market up to $83,200/year in our highest geographic market.
