Find your future with us.The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer located in Kent, Washington. - The ability to manage priorities and work in a team environment is essential.
- The ability to develop solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation is necessary.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Hardware based fault isolation and resolution experience
- Knowledge and experience with software design, analyses and software test and verification are preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with Linux operating systems including system administration, shell scripting, virtualization, containers, and RPM packages
- Excellent troubleshooting skills in complex software and hardware problems
- Ability to review a wide range of data and quickly determine how to eliminate variables to come to a root cause
- Knowledge of Java and Ruby programming languages
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking and PXE setups
- Exposure to real-time and embedded operating systems
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, electrical engineering, certification, network security and/or cybersecurity
- Experience in related engineering fields, such as systems or software engineering
- Experience effectively working in a Linux/Unix environment
