About the Team:

We're looking for a motivated architect to help us build the next generation analytics architecture for iOS application at eBay. Together, we will delight millions of customers a year.

Become a member of our experimentation and tracking platform team to help product teams better understand their user behavior on the eBay app. In this role, you will be a technical evangelist for entire company to implement tracking the right way. eBay iOS Application teams will use the APIs you build, to implement click, navigation and viewport tracking for their screens. You will also have opportunities to work in those teams and implement it.

You will play a critical role working with our Product Managers, AI Engineers and Data scientists to help them understand how and when we can collect data about what users see and interact with on eBay app. Core of what you do will enable eBay deliver delightful, personalized experiences for our community.

We follow agile practices and focus on continual improvement in our practices, driven from the ground up. We expect you to advocate for improvements in code and culture, and to support your colleagues in the same.

As part of the team, you'll also share your knowledge with the wider team as well as learning about and contributing to our core app experience.

Job Requirements:
  • Proven experience in designing, building, refactoring and releasing native apps.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in Agile teams is desirable
  • Expertise in Xcode
  • Able to own a feature of an iOS application and develop it fully.
  • Proven experience with Objective-C/Swift on iOS.
  • Experience with TDD, pairing, code reviews, and other techniques to maintain high-quality code and resiliency.
  • Preferred experience with Swift's Combine framework: Functional programming, reactive software architecture, decoupled APIs

Job Functions:
  • Help support Xcode, OS, and tooling updates
  • Support Core Product developers with debugging Xcode and new OS feature issues
  • Work closely with every Core Product domain on feature and architecture implementation
  • Work well with team members and other teams, dividing up workload appropriately.
  • Partner and collaborate with other organizations throughout eBay.
