Summary: Meta Reality Labs is developing the future of augmented reality (AR) products. As a Module Integration Engineering Manager for the Eyepiece Engineering team, you will be managing a team of engineers designing and developing eyepiece components and assembly processes. You will be leading the development of advanced technologies and designs, and working within evolving ecosystems to provide differentiating capabilities to our HW platforms. You will be part of a group of engineers at the forefront of the innovation for AR and Smart Glasses products.Required Skills: Module Integration Engineering Manager Responsibilities:
Manage a team of mechanical and electrical engineers to design and develop eyepiece components and assembly processes
Oversee and direct the engineering team in the overall eyepiece design, manufacturing, metrology, and optimization
Direct the team in preparing and reviewing eyepiece concepts, designs, module drawings, design fixtures and jigs
Organize and drive cross-functional reviews of mechanical and electrical design to ultimately drive design optimization and ensure a smooth handoff to Operations teams for Mass Production
Guide team to prepare mechanical drawings for Request for Proposal packets and evaluate submissions to select future development partners
Drive FMEA, failure analysis, tolerance analysis, gauge R&R, and the GD&T activities supporting product scalability
Design and develop new component and eyepiece technologies and define the roadmap for our growing hardware product lines
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Optical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
2+ years experience managing engineers in product development for high volume manufacturing
Experience directing product and process development efforts at contract manufacturers
5+ years of experience in the development of optical module components and assembly for consumer electronics
Experience in mechanical and optical design and development for prototype and product builds and manufacturing
Experience with DOEs, data analysis, SPC control, Gauge R&R, Failure Analysis/Root Cause/Corrective Action
Experience leading communications with cross-functional partners to define requirements, address issues, and hand off programs

Track record of building/managing a top performance engineering organization
Track record of delivering high volume products to the markets
Experience in designing and building functional and aesthetic prototypes
Knowledge of CAD, NX, and Teamcenter
Understanding and experience with simulation and data analysis, trade-off analysis, DOE/DFM/FMEA, manufacturing techniques, reliability, and prototyping
MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field and/or equivalent experience
