Snohomish County Music School is seeking a talented and dedicated music teachers to join our team on piano, violin, cello and more! We teach a multitude of ages from 5 all the way up to 65. As a contractor with SnoCo, you will have the opportunity to inspire students, help them grow musically, and contribute to a positive learning environment while enjoying the flexibility of independent teaching.

Key Responsibilities as a Contractor with SnoCo: Teach students ranging in age from children to adults in both individual, take attendance for each lesson, lock the building doors and escort students in and out after 5pm, collaborate with fellow staff members and contribute to a supportive team environment.

What SnoCo Provides for Contractors:

Administrative Support: We handle all scheduling, billing, and other administrative tasks.

Performance Opportunities: The school organizes multiple performance opportunities throughout the year, including solo and ensemble events, so you can focus on teaching and helping students grow musically.

Flexible Scheduling: Teachers set their own availability, and we work to match students to your schedule.

Competitive Pay: Contractors receive a 65% split of the base tuition for each student taught. We offer 30, 45, and 60 minute lessons for our community of musicians. Students pay based on Semester tuition. Tuition per Semester is as follows: $725, $975, and $1,225, respectively.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Music (or equivalent professional experience).

Strong ability to teach students of all ages and skill levels that you are comfortable. We understand not everyone is comfortable teaching super young students or adults.

Proficiency in your chosen instrument and ability to teach effectively.

Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.

Experience in teaching music is preferred but not required.

Phone Interview: An initial conversation to discuss your experience and teaching philosophy.

In-Person Interview: Includes a performance audition to assess your skill level and suitability for teaching.
