The CSH National Nurse Residency Program (CSH NRRP) delivers nursing orientation and organizational socialization within the profession. Through in-person and virtually-enhanced education and support, the new nurse’s critical thinking skill, evidence-based decision making skills, engagement, stress management, and leadership skill will be developed, nurtured and optimized.The CSH Nurse Residency Program (CSH NRP) accelerates nursing competency by providing in depth experiences, education and support during the Nurse Residents first year. A competency-based curriculum coupled with trained preceptors and active mentorship capitalizes on ANCC Accreditation design, innovative, contemporary, and evidence-based practices.The CommonSpirit National Nurse Residency Program supports newly licensed registered nurses (RNs) as they transition to practice to one of our facilities. The program consists of a comprehensive evidence-based clinical orientation in addition to a 12-month transition-to-practice supported by CANVAS platform designed by Dignity Health Global Education. Cohorts start in the spring and the fall.ResponsibilitiesJob Summary:The Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) Site Clinical Coordinator (SCC) collaborates with the Nurse Residency Program Director, facility CNEO/designee, market and Division leaders, and CommonSpirit Health National Nurse Residency Program Leadership to provide leadership, coordination, oversight, development, evaluation and continuous program improvement for the nurse residency program and its outcomes. Work includes providing support and collaborative oversight representing the nurse residency program for VMFH.An incumbent, in partnership with the director, is responsible for maintaining standardization of the nurse residency program, achievement and maintenance of residency program accreditation, and ensuring nurse residents are supported in their transition to practice, satisfied, and retained.An incumbent demonstrates the following essential leadership characteristics:

#LI-VMFHQualificationsEducation/Work Experience RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Nursing, minimum of 3 years clinical experience in the acute care setting, minimum of 2 years clinical teaching experience. Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.Licensure/Certification

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
