Nursery Assistant / Horticulturist – Boutique Nursery

Sublime Gardens is a boutique nursery nestled on a beautiful 5-acre property in Snohomish, WA. We specialize in unique perennials, shrubs, grasses, edibles, and medicinal herbs. Beyond providing exceptional plants, we offer expert garden coaching and consulting to help aspiring gardeners bring their visions to life. Our farm follows organic and regenerative agriculture practices and is home to a variety of animals, including horses, geese, chickens, and miniature donkeys.

We are looking for a passionate, hands-on individual with horticultural knowledge of landscape plants, gardening practices, and plant care. While a degree in horticulture is preferred, it is not required. If you have design or building experience, that's a bonus!

Position Details:

-Seasonal: March – October/November

-Flexible Hours: 15–40 hours per week, depending on skillset and availability

-Location: On-site at our farm in Snohomish, WA

Key Responsibilities:

-Plant Care: Watering, potting, and organizing nursery stock

-Property care: Weeding, planting, and general property maintenance

-Propagation: Assisting with plant propagation projects

-Inventory Management: Tracking and updating plant inventory

-Customer Interaction: Assisting nursery visitors during our monthly plant sales, supporting workshops and events, and assisting occasionally with other plant-related projects

What We’re Looking For:

You should be:

✅ Detail-oriented and highly organized

✅ Reliable, resourceful, and efficient

✅ Hardworking and trustworthy

✅ Knowledgeable about PNW plants and gardening practices

✅ Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

✅ Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, kneeling, bending, and standing for long periods

✅ Able to pass a drug test and background check

✅ Able to provide at least three professional references
