Summary: Reality Labs is developing the future of augmented reality (AR) products. As a Module Integration Process Engineer for the display and optics team, you will be taking the lead in display module processes, equipment and materials development. You will be leading the development of advanced technologies and designs, and working within evolving ecosystems to provide differentiating capabilities to our HW platforms. You will be part of a group of engineers at the forefront of the innovation for AR products.Required Skills: Optical Module Integration Process Engineer Responsibilities:
Lead module process, equipment and materials integration - development of complex manufacturing practices including materials, process optimization, equipment, metrology and system design
Design for Manufacturability - Ensure the design is robust and the equipment, process and materials are scalable to ramp
Review equipment concepts, designs, module drawings, design fixtures and jigs
Perform FMEA for new equipment and process technologies and provide risk assessments
Define and implement rigorous equipment/process validation plan, CTQs, FAT/SAT, and standards
Organize and drive cross-functional reviews of equipment/process requirements and ultimately drive design optimization
Lead yield improvement activities and drive FACA, must be able to drive the responsible teams to address the issues
Prepare Request for Information/Proposal/Quotations that highlights the equipment/process requirements and specifications
Willingness to travel no less than 20%
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, or Optics Engineering or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in the development of module equipment and assembly processes for optical assemblies in consumer electronics devices
Experience directing product and process development efforts at contract manufacturers
Experience developing active alignment processes and equipment to optimize optical parameters such as MTF, boresight, uniformity, etc.
Knowledge of automation technologies for precision assembly processes and how to specify automation for high volume production of precision modules
Experience performing and designing DOEs, data analysis, SPC control, Gauge R&R, root cause investigation, failure analysis, implement corrective action
Experience communicating with cross-functional partners

Experience developing processes for applying thin film polarizers and waveplates
Knowledge of calculating MTF, processing beam profiles, and correlating optical measurements across multiple tools
Track-record of delivering high volume products to the market
Experience implementing automatic optical inspection processes
Experience developing optical calibration procedures for assembly equipment
Experience developing and reviewing equipment maintenance and service plans
