Payroll Specialist

Description We are looking for a diligent Payroll Specialist to join our team in Tacoma, Washington. In this role, you will be working in the fast-paced healthcare industry, managing our payroll department and ensuring accurate and timely employee compensation. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities Maintain accurate records of all employee working hours, overtime, sick leaves, vacations, etc. Utilize our UKG system for payroll procedures, ensuring precision and confidentiality. Utilize advanced Excel skills to evaluate payroll information effectively. Ensure that all employees are paid accurately and on time. Manage payroll workload to meet operational requirements. Prepare and deliver reports on payroll figures to upper management. Collaborate with HR to uphold firm policies and assist with audits. Resolve any payroll-related queries or issues under strict deadlines. Keep up-to-date with laws that could affect payroll (tax regulations, benefit rules, etc.) Stay aware of developments in UKG tools and advanced excel capabilities that could improve processes. Use accounting software systems, ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, IBM AS/400, Kronos Timekeeping System, and 401k - RRSP Administration to manage payroll and accounting functions.
