Description We are seeking a Payroll Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Tacoma, Washington. The position is a long-term contract role and entails managing the full cycle of payroll, maintaining accurate records, and resolving any payroll-related inquiries.Responsibilities: Manage the full cycle of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Maintain accurate payroll records and handle any discrepancies promptly Supervise the payroll team to ensure efficient operations Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve any issues that arise Collaborate with other departments to streamline payroll processes Stay updated with any changes in payroll and tax laws Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal payroll regulations Conduct regular audits on payroll processes and records Generate reports detailing payroll account activities Implement payroll best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in a Payroll Supervisor/Manager role. Proficient in all aspects of full cycle payroll processing. Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations relating to payroll and tax. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to manage and motivate a team. Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite. Solid problem-solving skills with an ability to analyze complex payroll issues. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy is necessary. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Must demonstrate a high level of integrity and ethics. Knowledge of payroll best practices and principles. Ability to adapt to changing regulations and business needs. Must demonstrate strong analytical and decision-making skills.
