Method Homes is seeking a Permitting Coordinator to support our growing modular construction business. The position is located out of our Seattle office with an opportunity to work from home some of the time.

Method Homes builds and sells architect designed and sustainably built prefabricated homes. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join a growing and dynamic company that strives to add innovation to the way buildings are built and sold.

This position focuses on preparing plans for permit and permitting work and there is an opportunity to work on projects throughout the west in interesting locales.

Must be energetic, professional, articulate, and knowledgeable of residential design and construction.

Responsibilities, Tasks and Roles:

-Prepare permit packages and make permit submittals.

-Coordinate structural engineering drawings for permit document package.

-Coordinate MEP drawings for permit packages.

-Coordinate feasibility investigations and get proposals for and schedule consultant work such as surveys, septic design, geotech, wetland and others as needed. This may be additional service in precon moving forward.

-Determine permit and utility costs and timelines for projects in feasibility. This may be additional service in precon moving forward.

-Prepare and deliver feasibility reports.

-Coordinate road closures and traffic control for installations.

-Work closely with Sales Coordinator to ensure smooth hand‐off from sales/design process to permitting process.

-Upload and modify feasibility estimates to reflect project specifics.

-Establish and manage project files.

-Heat loss calcs.

-Track and submit State Factory Certifications and Renewals.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

-Deep and thorough knowledge of residential construction and permit process.

-Knowledge of energy codes.

-Minimum of 1-2+ years previous preconstruction experience, with knowledge of home building industry and green building.

-Professional presentation and people skills and ability to work directly with clients.

-LEED AP beneficial.

-Experience and understanding of design/home building process.

-A strong work ethic.

-Strong organizational and communication skills with both clients and teammates.

Method Homes offers a comprehensive benefits package (V/H/S PTO, SIMPLE IRA, medical/dental/vision/life, etc). Pay range is $28.84 to $33.65 per hour and is Dependent On Experience (DOE). Hybrid schedule. Please respond to this posting via email with your resume and cover letter.
