At Virginia Mason Franciscan Health you will find the safest and highest quality of care provided by our expert, compassionate medical care team at 11 hospitals and nearly 300 sites throughout the greater Puget Sound region.ResponsibilitiesIn this Physical Therapist position located in our Outpatient Clinic in Kirkland, you will provide optimal health and physical functioning to patients by identifying, alleviating and preventing movement dysfunction. This position is a 4 – 10 hour shift position and works 7:30a-6:00p.Provide clinical treatment to patients including evaluation and diagnosis, direct treatment, family/caregiver training, and counseling patients and family members regarding status, prognosis, goals and progress.

Coordinate patient care with the rehabilitation team including medical staff nurses, and physicians.

Coordinate patient care with non-medical staff rehabilitation team members including families, educators, early intervention agency staff and community support service agency staff.

Refer patients and family members to other professionals, agencies, and resources as appropriate.

Maintain and build on current clinical knowledge and skills by attending continuing education activities.

Participate as a liaison with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care to the clients.

Contribute ideas for department and program development.

Advance toward assisting level of teaching/training for new staff, students, and interdepartmental classes.

Facilitate therapeutic interactions through group sessions.

Perform treatment planning; participates in team meetings; makes rounds and chart reviews.

Document every physical therapy session including the patient's functional status.

License in Washington State as Physical Therapist

Certification CPR

Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, wound healing, and disease progression

Understanding of the base components, both physical and cognitive, of ADLs (assisted daily living) and levels of ADL independence;

An ability to customize, adapt, and graduate to a home or work site environment or to adapt to a given treatment plan and equipment

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
