Akkodis is seeking a
Navigation and Controls Engineer for a contract role with an aviation client located in Everett, WA. The qualified candidates must have 3+ years of experience with navigation or controls systems engineering.This is a 12+ month contract hourly W2 role. No C2C.Job Description:Develop requirement management processes and tools. Investigates actions for requirements definition and flow-down improvement. Performs and document design of Guidance, Navigation, and Control systems models and tools. Guide less experienced engineers in performance of the designs. Develop certification criteria and methods with regulatory agencies. Lead, organize and resolve cross-divisional problems to provide technical assistance to internal/external customers. Assure cost, time effective, creative solutions and disposition of issues to assure customer satisfaction. Perform a wide variety of complex trades studies to meet program requirements. Work under consultative direction.Required Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.Experience in complex safety critical system design using object based three-dimensional CAD tools, such as CATIA; dynamic system simulation tools such as Easy5; and traditional engineering analytical methodsExperience in requirements development, design, analysis, and verification & validation of flight control systems3+ years of experience doing this type of work.Experience using requirement management tools such as IBM Rational DOORSExperience with System Safety Analysis including failure modes and effects analysis, fault tree analysis, common cause analysis and single & multiple failure analysisExperience with control system and component troubleshootingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with manufacturing regulated and certified, safety critical components and softwareDemonstrated ability to learn fast and effectively apply prior experience and knowledge to new and different challengesDemonstrated ability to plan and execute complex projects to successful implementation on-time and within cost constraintsDemonstrated enthusiasm for cross-functional team successDemonstrated enthusiasm for mentoring and training early career engineers and techniciansDemonstrated resilience and flexibility in the face of technical setbacksStrong, durable desire to find the right answers in the time available for a cost that makes implementation certainIf you are interested in this Navigation and Controls Engineer role in Everett, WA then please click APPLY NOW.
