Our team is the C+E Studio – we are User Experience professionals (UXers) at our core, care deeply about our customers and each other, and love connecting the dots that cut across business siloes, tools and processes so we can build better experiences.  That’s where you come in: we’re searching for a Principal UX Content Designer to join us in reimagining and designing end-to-end commerce and ecosystem experiences. We are looking for an experienced Content Designer who can understand complex problem spaces, conceptualize creative solutions across boundaries, be at the fore-front of our generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) customer experiences, and articulate a clear content point-of-view to create impact at scale. You'll find fulfillment here if you are a master at creating meaningful tone, voice and text while employing an effective end-to-end product strategy, influencing others through your UX craft while tackling big problems with rigor and user empathy.  As a Principal UX Content Designer on our C+E Studio team, you will work hand-in-hand with designers, researchers and product managers to shape product experiences by creating a vision for content and drive cohesive product narratives across multiple platforms and touch points. These customer facing experiences include, but are not limited to, Microsoft Founders Hub, Microsoft Learn, Partner Center, Marketplace, Support etc… As a stellar writer, you have a portfolio of work that demonstrates content that is natural and conversational and brings the heart, soul, and right tone at the right time to the overall user experience. You communicate directly with the people using our products by using your gift for language to design intuitive, delightful experiences that help users accomplish their goals and you understand how to seamlessly map user goals to product strategy.   You use your gift for language to design intuitive, delightful product experiences that help users accomplish their goals. You’re also strategic and understand content strategy defining product vision and narratives across multiple platforms and touch points. Create and drive a cohesive content strategy for C+E products and services 

Set tone and voice for our products and services by developing content guidelines and patterns for others to follow 

Define and synthesize user requirements 

Write documentation, UI text and continuously iterate 

Collaborate closely with UX research, design and product management to ensure that content quality meets customer needs and is integrated within the product 

Follow content publishing workflow and comply with structured authoring guidance 

Conduct content evaluations and analyze customer data for content effectiveness 

Effectively communicate the content experience to executives and stakeholders

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Visual Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 6+ years experience working in product or service design, copywriting, technical writing, writing (e.g. for marketing, advertising, e-commerce), brand design, or brand marketing

OR Master's Degree in Arts, Digital Communications, UX Design, Human Computer Interaction, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service design, copywriting, technical writing, writing (e.g. for marketing, advertising, e-commerce), brand design, or brand marketing

OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

10+ years of experience planning, writing, editing, and creating content strategy for products and/or services with a global reach 

Background in UX content and voice  

Experience collaborating with Design and User Research 

Critical thinking skills shown in an end-to-end product lifecycle 

Current or previous management experience a plus 

Content Design IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
