Responsibilities:This candidate will be a part of the business control function for the Online Investing businessThe individual will need to have or develop a deep understanding of JPM control processes, trading for all investment products, operational controls, financial management, vendor management, and regulatory mattersThe candidate will coordinate with multiple key partners and key stakeholders to develop, monitor, and ensure pristine controls and operational efficiency for the Online Investing businessDevelop and analyze trading controls for self-directed trading businessCoordinate and project manage with Controls partners for all Action Plans, Job Aides, and ProceduresLiaise with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Supervisory Management for all items impacting Online InvestingProject manage Audit and Regulatory exams, issues, and findingsManage vendor relationships, licenses, expenses, approvals, and operational performancePartner with Finance & Analytics to understand drivers of P&L and operational expensesPartner with product and business development for new product approvals and operational supportDevelop and drive senior presentations and business reviews

Job descriptionThe Process/Business Analyst will work with Investment Management Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other stakeholders to formulate and define business and/or systems scope, requirements, and objectives based on a good understanding of applicable industry requirements. Lead requirements definition sessions ensuring that the team articulates requirements and specifications. Drive dialogue to a detailed level to allow the capture of actionable requirements. Use understanding of business objectives, technical environment, and project timeline and scope to analyze needs; capture them in the documentation of business and system requirements. High Level Responsibilities
  • Perform requirements management planning for medium to large scale projects
  • Lead business analysis across multiple parallel initiatives
  • Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements
  • Facilitate and drive requirements gathering sessions
  • Collaborate with business and systems experts
  • Lead analysis of business processes, procedures, data and rules
  • Negotiate and influence requirements direction
  • Perform analysis and evaluation of business processes, information and rules
  • Make determination of alternatives for optimizing business processes
  • Identify solutions to business problems
  • Create business process models, context diagrams and use case models
  • Apply knowledge of formal requirement elicitation best practices
  • Help or facilitate process improvement and/or process mapping sessions
  • Adhere to formal software development processes and procedures
  • Define, and update documentation tools such as business terminology stored in the master business glossary and data dictionaries
  • Mentor less seasoned business analysts

  • Experience working with Investment-focused projects, preferred
  • Working knowledge of investment credit or market risk, preferred
  • Seasoned individual capable of handling broad scope projects that have medium to long-term focus
  • Demonstrated ability to understand how tasks and milestones collaborate and connect together across related projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively using verbal and written methods
