RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze product specifications to ensure they meet requirements
  • Develop product test plans which includes checking boundary and stress conditions
  • Set up test systems in an engineering lab and execute test plans
  • Write up task reports when issues are discovered
  • Follow through to validate that fixed issues have been resolved
  • Verify that final products meet their specifications
  • Assist other departments to maintain timeliness of projects
  • Responsible for testing complex integrated systems
  • Ability to provide mentoring and leadership for other engineers

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred
  • 10 years' industry experience.
  • Masters in Engineering or Computer Science would be considered as 2 years' industry experience, PHD as 5 years'.

Experience:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience testing complex embedded electronics, preferably for aircraft desired
  • Experience testing software applications and embedded systems preferred
  • Good working knowledge of Ethernet networking
  • Experience with Issue & Project Tracking systems desired
  • Ability to use electronics tools such as multimeter and oscilloscope desirable
  • Logical and analytic mindset that is good at problem solving
  • Skills in programming, electrical engineering, and soldering desirable
  • Thorough with an attention to detail
  • Mentoring and leadership with other engineers

This compensation range is specific to Washington State and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86,430 to $125,000/year.

An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a drug test and background check, and applicants who do not successfully pass both the drug test and background check will not be considered for employment.
