DescriptionProject Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.The Production Scheduler will work closely with machinists, engineers and machining shop management to schedule capacity of CNC machines to deliver components on time to meet production demand. The desired candidate will have experience in a fast-paced machining environment and will have the ability to respond quickly to interruptions and requests to support test teams.Key job responsibilities

Manage capacity plan for a variety of products ranging from development to production configurations using SmartSheet, Microsoft Project, and/or other industry software solutions.

Review all work orders ensuring capability and capacity is adequate, lead intake meetings and initiate contact with manufacturing team leads when additional information is required.

Meet daily with the production operations team at standup to tactically determine priorities and work order needs for the day to meet overall business needs.

Initiate start of work orders, prepare documentation and ensure ERP info is correct and up-to-date.

Ensure work load is balanced across resources as work orders are started.

Continuously monitor and update WIP status.

Schedule and manage outside processing with procurement team, maintain status of parts while at outside vendors.

Work with ERP planning to generate replacement orders for non-conforming or scrap parts.

Ensure completeness and conformance of finished goods prior to closing out orders.

Communicate planned delivery dates and blockers to downstream customers including the Kuiper launch team and multiple engineering teams.

Collaborate with multiple teams across Kuiper to synchronize constantly changing requirements, delivery dates and satellite schedules.

AA Degree in a related Engineering field or equivalent experience

1+ years of experience working in a startup environment.

1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

SmartSheet, Microsoft Project, SAP, Sharepoint or similar scheduling tool experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline.

Hands-on design, assembly and/or fabrication experience.

Experience transitioning complex products from R&D to high-volume manufacturing in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Experience writing technical documents and presentations.

Formal training/certification in Operational Excellence Systems (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.) a plus.

Strong organizational, analytical, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

The base pay for this position ranges from $59,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150,300/year in our highest geographic market.
