Job Title: Production SupervisorJob DescriptionThe Production Supervisor is responsible for driving the cooking department results through effective resource management, safe operating procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), and regulatory compliance.Responsibilities
Oversee the production process from the entry of the raw material to the exit of the finished goods.
Ensure that the production is cost-effective.
Ensure that products are produced in a timely manner and within quality guidelines.
Foresee potential problems before they happen.
Liaise among different departments.
Work with department heads to uphold and implement company policies and goals.
Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed.
Supervise and motivate a team of workers.
Identify training needs and ensure proper training is provided.
Receive daily job list from the PM and conduct meetings with team leaders and the crew.
Manage employees' attendance and allocate jobs according to the job list.
Focus on team leaders and give them goals for the day.
Discuss previous and current safety issues.
Announce any notices from the Admin.
Appreciate good work and encourage employees to exceed their duties.
Highlight rules and regulations if they were not fully observed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Essential Skills
3+ years of leadership experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
Ability to direct, coach, and develop a team of 20 associates daily.
Ability to lead by example to create and maintain a workplace culture that engages and motivates associates at all levels.
Ability to communicate and develop relationships across all levels and functions of the organization.
Proven ability to make sound decisions regarding resource utilization and needs.
Experience implementing Continuous Improvement tools to improve Packaging & OEE Performance.
Knowledge of ADP and ERP systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC skills.
Ability to work extended days and/or weekends with flexibility to switch shifts as required.
Aptitude for teambuilding and employee engagement.
Results-oriented and process improvement focused.
Highly organized self-starter that can work with little direct supervision.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
