Harmony Fresh Seafoods (HFS)

Location: La Conner, Washington

Status: Full-Time / Non-Exempt

Pay Range: $18.75–$20.75 per hour (DOE)

Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (4/10s), with potential overtime

Position Summary

Production Workers at Harmony Fresh Seafoods are responsible for processing, packaging, and preparing high-quality seafood products in a clean, efficient, and safe work environment. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional, ready-to-eat seafood that meets all company and regulatory standards.

Production Workers are cross-trained in various stages of production, including filleting, smoking, pickling, labeling, packaging, loading/unloading, and cleaning. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced, cold, and wet environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process and package seafood (including shellfish) according to HFS quality and food safety standards.

Operate production-line equipment safely and efficiently.

Follow all Food Safety (GMP), Sanitation, and Quality Procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with end-of-shift cleanup.

Label, seal, and package finished goods for shipment.

Load and unload product and materials as needed.

Ensure finished products meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Work collaboratively with supervisors and teammates to meet production targets.

Remain flexible and willing to shift tasks or departments as production needs change.

Report any food safety, equipment, or workplace safety concerns immediately to a supervisor.

Work Environment

Cold and wet production setting (temperatures as low as 32°F).

Frequent exposure to mechanical equipment and moderate noise.

Standing and repetitive movement for extended periods of time.

Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs or more.

Employees must not have any known allergies to fish or shellfish products.

Schedule, Breaks, and Overtime

Four 10-hour shifts per week.

One 30-minute unpaid meal period and two 15-minute paid rest breaks per shift.

Overtime may be scheduled based on production needs and is paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate.

If an employee reports for a scheduled shift but is sent home early due to lack of work, they will be compensated for a minimum of 5 hours of that scheduled shift.

Compensation & Benefits

Harmony Fresh Seafoods provides a competitive compensation and benefits package for eligible employees.

Pay: $18.75–$20.75 per hour depending on experience.

Benefits include:

Paid Sick Leave (in accordance with WA state law)

Accrues at 1 hour per 40 hours worked; up to 40 hours may carry over each year

Paid Time Off (PTO)

Year 1–2: 5 days (40 hours) per year

Year 3–5: 10 days (80 hours) per year

Year 6+: 15 days (120 hours) per year

Holiday Pay: 1.5x pay for hours worked on a company-recognized holiday
