Project Accountant

Description We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our team located in Kent, Washington. As part of our team, your role will be pivotal in handling various accounting functions, including processing invoices, maintaining detailed records, and dealing with customer inquiries. This role is within the electrical industry and provides an excellent opportunity to expand your skills and knowledge in accounting software systems, job cost, and billing.Responsibilities: Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure timely and accurate completion of billings. Assist in transferring costs of stock material to respective projects. Support in determining material pricing for various projects. Utilize BuildOps and Vista Viewpoint software systems for processing customer billings. Maintain customer relationships and assist in the collection of past-due pay applications. Support in dealing with invoices and cost transfers for billing. Collaborate with Build Ops and Vista Viewpoint in various project-related tasks. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the management.This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Requirements Proficient in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with Accounting Functions such as Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience with Auditing processes Knowledge of Billing procedures Understanding of Job Cost calculations Familiarity with Viewpoint Spectrum software Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations.
