The team assists with execution of security assurance required to support deepening regulatory expectations of AWS and its customers, identifying and removing obstacles to trust globally while simultaneously creating scalable mechanisms to support regulated customers meeting their responsibilities for security in the cloud.At Amazon Web Services (AWS), Security is our highest priority. The AWS Security Assurance team is responsible for creating, implementing and operating the mechanisms for customer and regulator engagement, building and applying security assurance domain expertise of all global geographies, industries and data sensitivities. At AWS's scale, we must invent new ways to provide the highest level of assurance to our most regulatory conscious customers.The successful candidate will:
Manage multiple, sometimes competing, priorities;
Distill complex and ambiguous technical problems to their core elements;
Translate problems into business requirements to include both tactical and strategic actions;
Identify and engage subject matter experts across multiple organizations and disciplines to define potential solutions;
Scope the cost and impact of potential solutions;
Develop recommendations based upon data;
Craft clear written and verbal communications about the problem, solutions and recommendations for audiences across functions and all levels (including executive leadership); and
Use technical knowledge, data, and strong communication skills to influence partners, stakeholders, and leaders to drive clear and timely decisions.

Assist with developing, building and deploying programs on a global scale
Provide support to manage security initiatives for certifications/attestations and regulatory obligations with excellent project management skills, bringing predictability to regulatory/industry engagement and simplifying obstacle discovery/removal
Communicate to leadership the status and potential outcomes of the projects, identify and convey trends, seek diverse opinions and coordinate improvement efforts in collaboration with internal stakeholders
Contribute to driving faster innovation and enhanced responsiveness on behalf of customers

The base pay for this position ranges from $91,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $196,300/year in our highest geographic market.
