Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Purchasing/Procurement 3Non-Cleared role in Everett, Washington. This role is primarily focused on carrying out procurement processes, standards, and operational plans within the supply chain industry. The candidate will be responsible for purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization's best interest. This role is based on-site and does not offer remote work.Responsibilities: Carry out procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including Request for Proposals (RFPs), negotiation preparations, and cost analysis. Respond to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction. Carry out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services. Prepare purchase orders, approve payments, and negotiate prices to ensure the procurement process runs smoothly. Compile price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices. Prepare requests for proposals (RFP) and bid packages to take on new accounts. Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries. Work autonomously with limited supervision. Influence others within the work area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices. Requirements Proficiency in office functions and policy understanding Experience in payment processing and materials handling Ability to supervise a team effectively Knowledge of pricing, negotiation, and financial reporting Familiarity with procurement practices and customer satisfaction principles Strong client relations and communication skills Experience in managing deliveries and liaising with suppliers Ability to ensure compliance with company and legal standards Understanding of buying processes and cost analysis Knowledge of supply chain logistics and experience in opening new accounts Willingness to work overtime when necessary Ability to handle shortages and transaction processing effectively Knowledge of FACTS software or similar systems Experience in preparing and analyzing request for proposal documents Ability to provide clear and comprehensive explanations to inquiries and problems.
