Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Manual and automated testing of Web based applications. • Backend database testing including validating stored tables, jobs, and batches. • Identify test requirements from specifications and user stories, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan. • Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, and automated scripts. • Lead the User Acceptance Testing efforts (Data prep, Environment Setup, Review test results) • Coordinate the testing efforts between testers, SMEs, BAs and escalate any major issues to the release manager/project manager • Identify test automation opportunities, then develop and implement automation scripts • Execute and evaluate test cases and report test results. • Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management. • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements. • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.

Qualifications

Soft Skills: • Clear communicator (written and verbal) - to ensure ability to write test plans and test cases. To communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders • Creative solving of technical problems - to ensure the ability to translate technical requirements into test plans and test cases • Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables - ensures the ability to find the bad defects and bugs quickly • Ability to think abstractly - to ensure ability to not conform to the norm.

Functional/Technical Skills: • Experiences in Quality Management Software and Processes • Knowledge and experience in technical aspects of software solution being tested. • Business process understanding. • Create clear, concise detail-oriented test plans/cases. • Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• A Minimum of ten (10) years' broad and extensive test experience, wherein at least four (4) years of that experience in a lead capacity • A Minimum of six (6) years' experience on government IT project(s). • A Minimum of five (5) years' experience working with law enforcement, social services, and/or healthcare agencies. • A Minimum of five (5) years' experience working on IT projects or business process re-engineering projects valued at more than twenty (20) million dollars • A Minimum of two (2) years' experience dealing with government control agencies. • A Minimum of three (3) years' experience working for the offering Contractor

Desired Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and execute the testing effort of large complex State IT projects • Expertise mentoring State Subject Matter Experts (SME's) and Test Analysts in the completion of large-scale testing efforts on projects similar in size as complexity as the SOMS project
