3rd Class Building Engineer

The Building Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all Mechanical/Electrical and building equipment. Perform installation, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of all Mechanical/Electrical equipment at CMI’s customer site in Washington, DC.Key Job FunctionsOperate, monitor, and maintain HVAC systems.Perform routine inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.Ensure proper operation of life safety systems (in coordination with vendors).Complete scheduled PM tasks in accordance with established standards.Troubleshoot and repair HVAC components, lighting systems, plumbing fixtures, door hardware, and minor carpentry.Respond to occupant service requests.Review vendors work for quality and contract compliance.Support life safety inspections.
