Maintain own and others health and safetyReport any accidents, near misses, faults, damages or defect using appropriate documentationCarry out safety checks and inspections to vehicles, plant, equipment and sites as instructedUndertake duties to appropriate quality standardsFollow health and hygiene rulesEnsure that work is undertaken with due regard to the environment, prevent contamination to water supplies, maintain site cleanliness, prevent spills, minimise disturbance to members of the public, avoid damage to trees, dispose of waste only as authorisedExcavate where necessary using safe digging methods to facilitate reinstatement of highways following rehabilitation worksReinstate highways, footpaths etc using materials and methods in accordance HAUC specificationsManhandle materials, plant and equipmentDrive company vehicles for authorised business purposesOperate mobile plant for authorised business purposesMaintain site, vehicle, plant and equipment tidiness and securityMaintain road signs, barriers and cones to ‘Chapter 8’ standardAssist members of the public, ‘clients’ representatives and other officials in relation to company businessUndertake any other reasonable instruction given by management or supervision
