REPAIR TECHNICIAN
Custom America, Inc. is a division of Custom S.p.a. of Parma, Italy. Custom America designs, manufactures and distributes solutions for a variety of vertical markets and technology sectors through six (6) major lines of business supporting attended and unattended solutions. Custom America offers both a wide range of standard products in addition to the ability to provide complete product development and customization to meet specific application needs. The company's 6 major lines of businesses and target markets are point-of-sale, OEM kiosk printers, ticketing, aviation, gaming, and data intelligence devices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Services customer product, including basic troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, inspection, testing, and final inspections
Records work performed in the form of symptom and parts replacement reasons
Becomes familiar with all products, processes, and software tools
Resolves a variety of basic problems of limited complexity under direct supervision and performs rudimentary analysis involving a limited number of factors
Learns policies and procedures, and applies them to routine activities
Keep a clean and organized workspace
Any other duties as necessary (as requested by management)
EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
Ability to cooperate and work effectively with other employees, including communicating promptly and clearly with the Support team
Proficient PC skills, including MS Office, Internet, and E-mail
Ability to demonstrate initiative and teamwork, both as a team member and service leader
Ability and willingness to work with minimal supervision
Ability to utilize computer systems to keep track of inventory
Must have strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and understand technical documents and service manuals
Must be able to carry, push, pull, and lift 40 LBs
Preferred:
High School or equivalent preferred
Technical Certificate or Training
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and analytical skills
Ability to organize, manage and control multiple accounts
