SAP BUSINESS ANALYST - INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

Summary:The SAP Business Analyst will focus on Supply Chain Logistics and Inventory Management. The company has selected SAP S/4 HANA as its future ERP system, transitioning from a legacy JD Edwards platform in the US and Japan, and an older SAP instance in Europe. As an SAP Configuration Expert at Trident Seafoods, this role will be responsible for the business process design and adoption of standard ERP functionality on SAP S/4 HANA. This hybrid position will be a combination of remote and onsite at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle, WA. Our hybrid work environment includes remote on Monday and Friday and in the Support Center on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participates in relevant workshops with system integrators and drive standardization of business processes leveraging out-of-the-box solutions in SAP for Inventory Management and Logistics related to Plants and Warehouses.
  • Provides guidance to internal teams on best practices in adopting solution out-of-the-box solutions in SAP.
  • Creates workarounds and drive alignment to workarounds in S/4 HANA to reduce Reports, Interface, Conversion, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEWF).
  • Participates in design decisions on integration with non-SAP systems.
  • Configures SAP related modules; develops scenarios and tests the system to ensure compliance with Trident requirements.
  • Validates proposed solutions from system integrator.
  • Reviews and drives configuration and testing outcomes with the system integrator teams.
  • Provides expertise in identifying the relevant master and transactional data required for data migration in Supply Chain.
  • Provides guidance and executes best practices in data cleansing and data extraction for migration.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Provides training to internal teams on specific areas in SAP Supply Chain Inventory Management and Logistics, as needed.
  • Runs internal Proof of Concept sessions, as needed, for better features and better alternatives in S/4 HANA to address business requirements.
  • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

Minimum Requirements

Experience:
  • 5 years of working in SAP modules experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience in multiple end-to-end full life cycle SAP implementation projects and at least 1 end to end full life cycle SAP implementation on S/4 HANA.
  • Implementation experience in S/4 HANA in the manufacturing Food and Beverage Industry, preferably Seafood industry.
  • Strong hands-on experience in configuring SAP Supply Chain and related modules.

Education:
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, supply chain management, or related field; or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience with industry best practices and implementing SAP business processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of the functional aspects of the analysis and design process and its associated documentation, including functional specifications, test plans.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple, competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Special Training/Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to supervisor and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

Mental Activities: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to understand English, and utilize teamwork skills. The employee is frequently required to speak English and use decision making skills. The employee is occasionally required to use interpersonal, customer service, mentoring, problem analysis, training and supervision skills. The employee will be occasionally required to read and write English, perform basic math, use exercise independent judgment, and use discretion. This is a Salaried – Exempt position with an annualized salary range of: $120,000 - $150,000.
