Seafood Order Packer and Biller

East Anchor Seafood is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual to join our team as a Seafood Order Packer and Biller. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately packing seafood orders for shipment and processing billing documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Packing:

Prepare seafood orders for shipment by selecting the correct items according to order specifications.

Ensure accuracy in packing by verifying product quantities, sizes, and varieties against order invoices.

Package seafood products securely to prevent damage during transit, following established packaging guidelines.

Quality Control:

Conduct quality checks on seafood products prior to packing to ensure they meet company standards for freshness and appearance.

Monitor inventory levels of packing materials and report shortages to the supervisor.

Billing and Documentation:

Generate invoices and packing slips accurately reflecting the contents and quantities of each order.

Verify billing information, including customer names, addresses, and payment details, to ensure accuracy.

Compliance and Safety:

Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain product quality and prevent contamination.

Follow company policies and procedures for handling and storing seafood products safely.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, including packing stations and storage areas.

Communication and Teamwork:

Collaborate with other team members to prioritize packing tasks and meet daily shipping deadlines.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding order status, inventory levels, and any issues or concerns.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping, or similar environment preferred.

Basic math skills and the ability to accurately count and measure quantities.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

Proficiency in using computerized systems for order processing and billing (training will be provided).

Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to [insert weight] pounds.

Knowledge of seafood products and industry experience is a plus but not required.
