DescriptionOpsTech IT organization, with an unparalleled scope, is part of the Amazon’s WW Operations & Robotics team. We design, deploy and support IT infrastructure, devices and Services across Amazon’s Global Fulfillment Centers, Transportation (Middle Mile, Last Mile & Logistics), and Specialty Customer Solutions (Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, Lockers, Pantry, Campus, and Prime Air). Our customers range from Amazon lockers to Amazon’s Air Hubs.We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to build and own our reporting, metrics creation, KPI definition and cross-functional mechanisms to fuel our success. As a key team member on the team, you will partner across Product Management, SDEs, Program Management, and Finance to drive clarity among a broad set of key stakeholders and partners across OTIE and partner organizations. This role provides a unique opportunity to flex traditional BI skills, but also stretch into product, program, and finance elements. Your work will be foundationalin this role, you will work on key initiatives and partner with business stakeholders to drive actionable findings and recommendations to drive key business outcomes for our business. The visibility that your work provides will enable us to quickly provide value to both end customers and our vendor partners. To succeed in this role you must thrive in ambiguity, enjoy cross-functional collaboration, be excited about building and forming and have strong communication skills.Our team is data-obsessed and sees experiment delivery as successes. Create clarity from disparate information sources, learning and experimenting.

Drive business analyses and insights. Have a strong financial foundation to build and deliver actionable insights for execution and measurement of business performance.

Great problem-solving skills. You have strong leadership qualities, great judgment, clear communication skills, and a track record of delivering useful, adopted and actionable solutions. You can drive cross-functional alignment though strong communication and development and ownership of reporting mechanisms and structures.

10+ years of professional or military experience

5+ years of SQL experience

Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets

Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results

Experience with AWS technologies

Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.

Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs

Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

The base pay for this position ranges from $104,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market.
