Senior Business Intelligence Engineer-Seattle, WA/Los Angeles,CAThe Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer on client's team will be responsible for the strategy around data to support the reporting and analytics for the execution of the digital ad inventory forecast across multiple networks. This process includes the ingestion and understanding of data, to designing, developing, and improving specific analysis, while adapting to rapidly evolving strategies and business needs. The Sr. BI Engineer position is a highly technical and analytical role, and is expected to be able to effectively communicate complex results/insights/trends to business stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Business Intelligence: Translate raw data into meaningful and useful insights for data-driven decision making. Analyze data to identify patterns, uncover opportunities, and create a common understanding of digital media consumption.
  • Data Ingestion: Lead in identifying new data sources needed by our business partners and working with the data owners to get access, translate, and load the data into a usable structure for reporting and analytics.
  • Data Quality: As a subject matter expert on internal/external data sources, ensure data is as clean as possible and a reliable source of truth, escalating anomalies and developing workarounds where needed.
  • Training: Develop and provide SQL training to increase the technical skill sets of the Forecasting team; provide support for those who develop Visualization tools for analytics and reporting.
  • Collaboration: We are looking for a results-oriented team member who has a demonstrated past of driving initiatives in a fast-paced cross-functional environment, excellent time management skills, and commitment to contributing effectively in a team environment.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Business Analytics, or other quantitative field
  • 3+ years of experience and proficiency in SQL
  • 3+ years of hands-on Python for data analysis or R experience
  • Proficiency acquiring, cleansing, manipulating, and loading large amounts of data
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx)
  • Exceptional communication skills; able to shift readily between technical and non-technical terminology depending on audience
  • Demonstrated curiosity, creative problem-solving, and a willingness to learn new skills
  • Proven sense of responsibility, pro-active resourcefulness, and effective project ownership
