Senior Director, Data Science

As a diversified, national organization, you’ll have access to competitive benefits including a fresh perspective on workplace flexibility.Position Purpose:Provide mid- to long-term strategic and tactical direction and operational oversight by leading cross-functional teams to define, implement and promote cutting-edge analytical and data engineering solutions with new and existing clients, such as end-to-end customer data integration, activation and enablement, rigorous statistical modeling and inferential analysis, and AI development.

Provide strategic vision and alignment for client engagements, synthesizing complex, technical concepts that resonate with technical and non-technical audiences

Engage to identify new and improved pathways for data-powered solutions

Provide expertise in as statistical methods, machine learning, AI, distributed computing, and programming with open-source languages

Deliver thought leadership and innovation in process, technique, and implementation.

Conduct research to advance the collective knowledge and skills of our Data Science practice

Strong ability to communicate and present technical concepts to non-technical audiences including the leadership team .

Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Biostatistics, Informatics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Public Health, or Economics. Master’s degree preferred.8+ years of data analysis, statistics or related experience. Healthcare industry preferred. Experience with R, SQL, Python, and Git tools.Pay Range: $142,300.00 - $263,500.00 per yearCentene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
