As part of the Ecosystem Experiences & Services team at Mojang, this role will report to the COO and partner closely with studio leadership to drive product innovation to deliver the best experience to our players and fans.We are looking for an experienced Senior Director, Minecraft Ecosystem Experiences and Services who would drive new capabilities to build efficient, scalable, performant, resilient products and services. You will provide leadership for multi-disciplinary teams that span across the franchise. This position will require a balanced set of scalability and data driven framework to make informed decisions with an end user focus, partner engagement/collaboration and execution excellence/commitment. The position requires you to work with product teams across the studio, has executive exposure, and unlimited opportunities for growth and impact.Collaborate – Build and grow the brain trust of proficient on performance, efficiency, sustainability, resilience across the studio, Xbox, and Microsoft. Organizational Leadership and  Delivery Excellence 

Develops strategic strategy across the organization ensuring alignment and accountability to Studio priorities and the teams your collaborate with.

Drive deliverables across diverse work environmentsleveraged across our Product areas including Safety, Support, Quality, Release Management, Web, Launcher, Service Engineering just to name a few.

Work across boundaries to find commonality and drive clarity in planning and commitments.

Work closely across the combination of business and engineering leaders within the Studio to develop unified plans for a cohesive delivery strategy.

Develop critical relationships across Business Leadership, Product Development across the Global Studioto genuinely understand challenges from their perspectives and turn those into requirements across the breadth of engineering solutions. 

Shares industry expertise and strategic insight in collaboration with other teams, conducts analyses, and examines player and technology-related industry trends, first class experience andindustry-specific requirements.  

Acts as a leader in the studio to ensure cross-divisional teams develop problem statements and form hypotheses of feature(s)/feature areas (e.g., product, service) to address crucial business, program, customer needs, and/or market opportunities.  

Envisions, architect, deliver and support high-quality Experience services across the gaming service platform, hardware, and development. 

Create detailed road maps to coordinate the efforts of engineering and business teams. 

Effectively collaborate across large organizations and multi-disciplinary teams

People Management 

Lead a diverse group of passionate functional experts in their disciplines in the high value/impact work they do daily.

You do not need to be an expertise in each of these areas but you are not afraid of diving in to learn, understand, help.

Help drive clarity for your teams, particularly during times of ambiguity.

Being able to communicate well and able to lead teams through opportunities and priority setting/planning.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/technology/project/program management or software development, with a proven experience shipping products and experiences.

OR equivalent experience.

6+ years people management experience, including engineering management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years of experience in product/technology/project/program management or software development

OR equivalent experience.

8+ years people management experience.

Game Development or Product Development experience.

Product Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $158,500 - $276,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $202,800 - $304,200 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
