As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgment to make decisions impacting safety, airworthiness and regulatory compliance of Fleet Engineering output including instructions, work documents, and control procedures. This role works collaboratively with Fleet Engineering to address issues identified and develop solutions to maintain safety, airworthiness and regulatory compliance.Key Duties
As a subject matter expert this role administers the development and management/oversight of Mandated Regulatory Requirements; 14CFR: 25, 39, 91, 121 as they apply to and drive Engineering output; ex. 14CFR 39 (AD) Mandated Maintenance Action including Fleet Engineering Controls and their work instruction documents, Task Cards etc.
Understanding and communication of regulatory developments that could affect assigned duties.
Exercises considerable judgement to evaluate and coordinate with Engineering & Tech Pubs to track up-to-date CMM Supplements
Compliance tracking of the FAA Mandatory aspects of Engineering Programs (Aircraft type MRBR / MPD).
Audit incoming Rotable parts with compliance limitations to ensure requirements have been met. Track any errors made during the receiving processes and collaborate with various teams in areas of part compliance concerns.
Liaise with parts vendors, AS Engineering Dept., Receiving Inspection and Material Control to ensure Parts Compliance issues are resolved.
Liaise with Aircraft Records in providing secondary review of audit results
Parts Configuration Compliance oversight of borrowed parts and parts used by HMV.
Facilitate Parts Action Requests and Parts Category Change Requests for Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) including multi-PAR-related projects
Facilitate Trax® P/N Parts Action Requests (PARs: new parts, affecting interchangeability etc.) and Parts Category Change Requests (CCRs: Rotable, Expendable, Repairable etc.) including multi-PAR-related projects
Responsible for oversight of the entire PAR process from engineering to material control and records to completion.
Job-Specific Experience, Education & SkillsRequired
4 years of quality assurance or related experience.
Bachelor of Science degree, with a focus in aerospace or mechanical engineering, or a related discipline, or an additional 2 years of training/experience in lieu of this degree.
Knowledge of aircraft parts configuration control.
Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, policies, and procedures
Knowledge of aircraft systems and equipment (Boeing 737 & Airbus A320-series preferred).
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent communication (e.g., verbal, written, and listening), presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with ability to multi-task and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
In-depth working knowledge of Maintenance Tracking software Trax®
Preferred
Aircraft Maintenance Software Solutions – i.e., Trax
FAA regulations familiarity, Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreements. Foreign CAAs – EASA etc.
Enterprise Work Management software experience (Workfront® preferred)
