Find your future with us.The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Senior E-7 Manufacturing Engineer – Electrical located in Tukwila, WA. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating manufacturing engineering planning instructions, defining parts, plans and tools requirements as needed to support production. This position will support the United States Air Force E-7A Mission System & Lab Test Manufacturing Engineering team!Objectives of the USAF E-7 program are to build and deliver two rapid prototype E-7 aircraft and associated Airborne Mission Segment and Mission Support Segment lab infrastructure include upgrade of major airborne and ground-based systems. The US-based team is managed by Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C), a unit of Boeing Mobility and Surveillance (M&S), the E-7 is the world’s most advanced, capable, and reliable command-and-control system. A unit of The Boeing Company, BDS is one of the world's largest defense, space, and security businesses specializing in innovative and capabilities-driven customer solutions, and the world's largest and most versatile producer of military aircraft and commercial/civil/government space systems.Position Responsibilities:

Leads Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies.

Refines, validates, coordinates, and implements conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build.

Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization.

Conducts complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.

Resolves complex technical problems.

Serves as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained.

Leads advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities.

Deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods. Documents and communicates producibility best practices.

Provides guidance to others through structured mentoring.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

1+ years' experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and OneNote

3+ years’ experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment.

3+ years' experience reading, understanding, and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

5+ years’ experience in using professional written and verbal communication skills to achieve deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Defense industry experience or similar preferred

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
