DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced, self-directed Senior Program Manager (PM), Business Operations to join our AADA People eXperience and Technology (PXT) team. AADA encompasses four distinct businesses at the forefront of innovation - Ads, IMDb, and Grand Challenge (AIGC), Amazon Web Services (AWS) & Sustainability, Devices and Services (D&S), and Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).Ads, IMDb, and Grand Challenge (AIGC):AIGC comprises Amazon's advertising business, the popular IMDb entertainment database, and a team tackling innovative moonshot projects. Guiding this effort would put you at the forefront of the race to develop advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.As a business operations leader, you will be at the center of driving the rhythm of the business for AADA PXT, leading mechanisms for the leadership team to build and operationalize plans that power our businesses. You will also lead initiatives to engage the broader PXT organization in these plans, helping inspire and create a sense of purpose and community by linking our team’s work with broader PXT’s strategic plans.The Sr. PM, Business Operations leads a diverse portfolio of strategic and operational initiatives. This includes driving project management, organizational effectiveness, and critical HR functions to ensure the success of the business. If you're ready to leverage your talents to enable transformation and drive positive change, this could be the exceptional opportunity you've been seeking.Key job responsibilities Develop and drive mechanisms and forums to scale, drive collaboration, increase innovation, and build community across the AADA PXT ecosystem. Lead the business cadence for AADA PXT including running and improving mechanisms to set, manage and track goals, and ensure accountability for results. Drive monthly and quarterly business reviews for AADA PXT leadership. Develop and execute an engagement plan that increases connection and learning across the AADA PXT teams. Provide strategic guidance to PXT leaders, bringing deep knowledge of Business Operations and proven execution of implementing best practices. Design and facilitate offsites, meetings and summits for AADA PXT leadership and employees as needed. Develop, evolve, and deprecate mechanisms and processes to increase operational efficiency. Serve as program manager for key projects as needed, driving the strategic vision and project execution forward. Ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to drive continuous improvement Ability to develop and maintain new and existing artifacts focused on analysis of requirements, metrics, and reporting dashboards that are easily digestible by business and HR partners Ability to enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format Ability to author concise documents communicating results to stakeholders, visualizing data where beneficial to drive decision-making A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the organization The ability to think big but also not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves." The ability to manage and support multiple priorities simultaneously, have bias for action - orientated on results and driving appropriate solutionsBasic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree 5+ years of experience in a project/program management or related role Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements Strong verbal communication and advanced writing skillsPreferred Qualifications Experience leading relevant HR operational programs, including experience leading cross-functional, global projects Self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Experience identifying and resolving complex issues, and assuming leadership roles in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances - solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgment Demonstrated program ownership and consistent delivery on commitments - great organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail Excellent oral and written communication skills, paired with sound business judgment and ability to see around corners Well-honed analytical skills, comfortable working with data and developing insights from it, experience establishing and tracking program metrics, and experience with experimental design Experience identifying and resolving issues independently, will take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances. Strong bias for action and “get stuff done” attitude. Strong business acumen and ability to integrate HR and business strategies. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $187,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
