Description We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our team. This role is centered in the industry of property management in Seattle, Washington. As a Senior Property Accountant, your primary role will be to oversee the daily activities of the accounting department, maintain tax and insurance schedules, and prepare financial reports. Responsibilities: Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department such as managing accounts payable and receivable, as well as general ledger accounting Maintaining tax and insurance schedules/payments for multiple properties Preparing monthly reporting packages for a portfolio of properties, which includes financial statements and supporting documentation Conducting monthly reconciliation of multiple bank accounts Preparing and reviewing general ledger entries and reconciliations to reflect cash activity and accruals Compiling and analyzing month and year-end financials for assigned properties Supporting the Regional Manager and Asset Management in budget preparation and review Reconciling and recording monthly subsidy billings Assisting with year-end financial audit activities for multiple entities Creating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for investors and funders Participating in the preparation and maintenance of written policies and procedures for the accounting functions performed Establishing and enforcing accounting methods, policies, and internal controls.The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000.Benefits:M/D/VLife Insurance and STD/LTD401(k)15 days PTO13 paid holidays + 2 floating holidaysRequirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) Knowledge of Auditing processes Familiarity with General Ledger operations Experience in Real Estate Accounting Knowledge of Property Management Accounting Ability to Prepare Financial Statements Proficiency in Financial Reporting Experience with Bank Account Reconciliation Familiarity with Accruals Proficiency in Financial Analysis Experience in Budgeting Involvement in Audit Activities Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
