The PowerApps platform (part of Business Application Group) aims to be the platform of choice for building components that permit high productivity, intelligent and no-code nextgen application development. The platform empowers customers to easily customize, develop, and deploy business applications that work online and offline, for consumption on mobile devices and the web,  without the need to write code. We integrate cutting edge Artifical Intelligence (AI) technology in product for “low codeno-code” app developers to build app without compromising on extensibility for professional developer or data scientists. The platform will power the business applications, and be the extensibility story for all of Office 365.  In PowerApps Studio team we are creating a new generation of app authoring experience of low codeno-code app development. Our goal is to make app building easy, fun and collaborative effort that delight app makers. This comes with technical challenges of distributed computing and integrating AI experiences at scale that delight customers. The Studio framework is designed to seamlessly facilitate the paradigm of “Build Once, Deploy Everywhere” – that is, any and every aspect of a Business App will be reproduced in full fidelity across all the expected user client surfaces. All this is made possible by an extremely rich metadata driven framework that helps drive a consistent experience from browsers to devices and online to offline, delivering a fully responsive design that responds to various form factors and windows sizes – including embedded and contextual experience in other popular productivity Apps.  We are a highly collaborative group, and everyone's ideas and contributions count. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR equivalent experience.

Front-end JavaScript or TypeScript experience with React.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR equivalent experience.

Experience building applications on Azure or any cloud platform 

Experience with web application development using .NET or C#

Experience driving complex server & client architecture across large product teams. 

A passion for improving engineering practices and producing high quality software 

Self-motivated and customer focused 

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
