Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking motivated, talented, and experienced Senior Systems Engineers to join the Space Intelligence & Weapons Systems Engineering Team. There are multiple positions for a wide range of engineering roles available at multiple sites (Kent, WA, Tukwila, WA, and Renton, WA).The Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SIWS) organization is dynamic and growing with a leadership team focused on attracting and developing top talent in support of wide range of critical missions including Commercial and Government Satellite Programs, Experimental Space Programs, Space Launch, Weapons Systems, Space Missile & Defense Systems, and Maritime programs.Systems Engineering, System Integration, Design Integration and Design Engineering Responsibilities May Include:

Perform and lead analysis to optimize total system and/or system architecture to solve complex defense problems.

Apply and lead interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to plan, design, develop and verify system solutions.

Define and coordinate/lead system performance requirements and integrate technical parameters.

Define high level functional and performance requirements and verification methods, subsequent analysis, decomposition, and derivation of requirements, allocation of those lower-level requirements to physical and functional architectural elements, and tracking them through design, verification, integration, and operational validation.

Develop verification and validation methods, processes, logic, and plans in support of program milestones.

Lead development and documentation of electronic and electrical system requirements.

Lead and perform circuit design (PWB layout, thermal analyses, power analyses, EMI analyses).

Lead analysis of requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.

Lead and perform software development, software and test integration.

Lead design engineering & analysis.

Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.

Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, survivability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, product security (cyber security) and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

Systems and Performance Analysis, Model & Sim, Algorithm Development Responsibilities May Include:

Evaluate systems under various scenarios and architectures to determine and/or optimize overall weapon performance in a framework giving insight into performance.

Develop and maintain analysis tools of varied fidelity including modeling and simulation tools to predict performance against evolving threats of current and future weapon systems.

Lead development and documentation of key algorithm capabilities to support various DoD customers.

Model Based Engineering / Systems Engineering Responsibilities May Include:

Development of Model-Based Engineering (MBE) tools, processes and architectures.

Development of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, processes and architectures.

Configuration, data and work flow management of program specific MBSE tools and processes.

Establishment of protocol / process for integration of engineering tools with MBSE.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (Kent, WA, Tukwila, WA, and Renton, WA).This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and a minimum of 9 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with minimum 7 or more years' related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience/domain knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation

Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering

Experience in integration and test engineering

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
